National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council Welcomes Jovani Roa of Illinois as State Partner

The National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC) is proud to announce and warmly welcome Jovani Roa as our new Illinois State Partner. We recently had the opportunity to learn more about his background, accomplishments, and vision for the future of off-highway recreation in Illinois — and we’re excited for what’s ahead.

A Strong Foundation of Service and Leadership

Jovani brings a diverse and impressive background to NOHVCC:

  • Backcountry Discovery Routes (BDR) Ambassador and member of the BDR Military Veteran Committee
  • Founder and Owner of Ride On Academy, LLC
  • Certified Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) RiderCoach for DirtBike School and Adventure Bike Rider Course
  • **Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle Association (ROHVA) training sponsor
  • Member of the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA)
  • Veteran of the United States Marine Corps

His professional experience, combined with his commitment to service, provides a powerful foundation for advocacy, education, and responsible OHV recreation throughout Illinois.

Passion for Adventure and Community

Jovani enjoys riding off-road in remote backcountry areas across the country and participating in adventure bike events and rallies. His passion for exploration is matched by his dedication to helping others discover the joy and benefits of off-highway riding.

Since 2021, he has provided training to new dirt bike riders of all ages while helping experienced riders sharpen their skills using MSF curriculum. His focus on safety, skill development, and rider education strengthens the entire OHV community.

As a BDR Ambassador since 2024, Jovani promotes the organization’s mission to create routes, inspire riders, advocate for adventure motorcyclists, educate the riding community, and positively impact rural communities. In 2025, the BDR Military Veterans Initiative launched on Veterans Day, providing a platform for veteran ADV riders to connect, plan rides, and experience the mental health benefits of riding in nature.

Vision for Illinois OHV Recreation

As Illinois State Partner, Jovani hopes to promote and preserve OHV use by building strong relationships with state and local agencies. He is eager to learn and grow in his advocacy efforts, particularly in creating pathways to connect with appropriate government offices to expand OHV opportunities within Illinois.

With NOHVCC’s support, Jovani aims to help develop and enhance OHV areas throughout the state, ensuring future generations can safely and responsibly enjoy off-highway recreation.

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a NOHVCC State Partner, please visit www.nohvcc.org for more information and explore each State Page for state-specific details.

Please join us in welcoming Jovani to the NOHVCC family and thanking him for his service. We look forward to working alongside him to support the continued growth, connectivity, and stewardship of the Illinois OHV community.
