2025 Annual Conference Speaker Spotlight - Jeff Cain, Lemolo Bay Advisors, LLC
The NOHVCC is proud to welcome Jeff Cain of Lemolo Bay Advisors, LLC to the 2025 NOHVCC Annual Conference. Jeff's presentation can be heard on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 9 AM during the Conference. His presentation and information will be shared after the conference on a wrap up page. Below is a brief description and introduction about Lemolo Bay Advisors, LLC.
Jeffrey Cain, Ph.D., Principal, Lemolo Bay Advisors, LLC — “Will Generational Changes in Donor, Member, and Volunteer Behavior Undermine the Future of Off-Road Vehicle Conservation?”
My name is Jeff Cain, and I will be making a presentation at the NOHVCC Annual Conference on the dramatic shift that is underway in how Americans give, volunteer, and participate in nonprofit organizations. What impact will generational changes in giving, gathering, and volunteering habits have on Oregon’s outdoor recreation ecosystem? Since nonprofits form the backbone of Oregon’s vibrant recreational economy and civil society institutions, what can we do together to better understand why newer generations give, join, and volunteer differently than older cohorts? How do we build nonprofits that will strengthen Oregon’s outdoor recreational ecosystem in the face of generational change?
I have 30 years’ experience as a business, nonprofit, and foundation executive and consultant. I have authored two books on fundraising and philanthropy and dozens of articles on the nonprofit sector and civil society. At Lemolo Bay Advisors, we work with many outdoor recreation groups in the Pacific Northwest, helping them build more sustainable and humane organizations that people want to join, fund, and lead. I served honorably in the USMC as a combat motorcycle operator.
This is my first time attending the NOHVCC’ annual conference, and I am eager to meet members and discuss their organization and fundraising success and challenges.
