NOHVCC Board of Directors Update – 2025 Annual Conference
During the 2025 NOHVCC Annual Conference, the Board of Directors convened on Wednesday, October 8, to discuss a range of organizational matters, including the current structure of the Board itself.
Historically, NOHVCC operated with Issue Area Representatives (IARs), divided into five categories: Clubs and Associations, Youth and Education, Public Lands, Private Lands, and Network Development. In recent years, however, the IAR system has been used infrequently. After discussion, the Board agreed that future Board members should continue to bring expertise in these areas but would now serve as Members at Large rather than designated IARs.
Following additional deliberation, a motion was introduced to reduce the size of the Board from 11 members to 7 members to create a more streamlined and efficient governing body better equipped to advance NOHVCC’s mission. The motion passed with majority approval.
On Saturday, during the State Representatives session of the Annual Conference, representatives from California, Indiana, Vermont, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, Arizona, Oklahoma, Iowa, and South Dakota were present and eligible to vote in the 2025 NOHVCC Board elections.
This year, the Board positions up for election included President, Secretary, and two Member-at-Large seats. The offices of President and Secretary were uncontested. Three State Partners ran for the two available Member-at-Large positions, and an election was held.
The newly elected 2025–2026 NOHVCC Board of Directors is as follows:
President- Bryan Much Secretary – Tasha West Treasurer- Charles Sims Member-At-Large – Scott Jones Member-At-Large- Ethan Hill Member-At-Large- Clif Koontz Member-At-Large-Brad Smith
At the 2026 Conference NOHVCC will have one executive position and two member-at-large positions available.
