The theme of this year’s workshop, which includes classroom and field sessions, is:

Colorado Communities – Partners in a Positive Future for Motorized Recreation

Topics will include how to engage political and business leaders in local communities, how to convey the positive economic impact of motorized recreation, the role of partnerships in maintaining and expanding motorized recreation opportunities, and how to meet the challenges of providing and managing all forms of recreation in urban interface areas.

A continental breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be served.  A welcome reception is scheduled for Thursday evening and a banquet dinner will be held on Friday evening.  A nominal registration fee will be charged and scholarships will be offered.

The workshop will kick-off with a reception on Thursday, June 27th at the Hilton Garden Inn.  Early check-in/registration begins at 4pm. Gather at 6pm for the reception at 6:30pm.  Hors D'oeuvers will be served.

  • The economic benefits of OHV recreation to local communities

  • Balancing the need for wildlife habitat and recreation on public lands

This award-winning trail system features more than 100 miles of trails for ATVs and off-highway motorcycles. The Field Workshop will give community leaders the opportunity to ride an ATV or Side-by-Side vehicle, and see first-hand what went into creating this sustainable and highly successful trail system.
