The Florida Office of Greenways & Trails is pleased to provide the latest version of their much requested OGT Trails Resource Inventory. If you would like to be on their e-mail list to get regular updates of this file, e-mail Alexandra at the address below.

The Excel file contains three spreadsheets:
Funding Sources – both government and foundation
Searchable Data Bases
List Serves and other Resources

The focus of the Inventory is that of trails, greenways, open space, outdoor recreation, and nonprofit management and accessibility.

If you have your internet browser open when you have the Inventory open, the web addresses act as live links. For printing a hard copy, please have legal size paper at the ready. The three worksheets should print out on a total of eleven (11) pages.

If you notice that information changes, or you find a really good funding source that you’d like to share – please contact us!

As always, remember to read the funding program’s criteria. Particularly as it relates to eligible projects, eligible applicants, submission dates, required information, and of course, the long term compliance. Be willing to divide your larger project into smaller ones that fit particular funding programs. State your case in a clear and concise manner. While tooting the horn of your project, keep it in perspective of the funding source. This will allow for a proper evaluation of your project by the funding entity. Be up front and truthful about your project. Do not try to force fit your dream project to the wrong funding program. It won’t work.

The Inventory is provided as a service of the Office of Greenways & Trails, Florida Department of Environmental Protection and is offered as information only.
