AMERICAN SAND ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES RESPONSIBLE RIDING CAMPAIGN WITH NEW PRINT AD AND DVD
A new Public Service ad and DVD from the ASA follows their mission statement of "Unite, Inform, and Mobilize". The title of the ad reads, "Discover the Rewards of Responsible Duning." The purpose of this campaign is to help educate visitors to the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area (Glamis) about the importance of riding in a safe manner and following safe duning practices. The ad also lists some of the BLM's rules for the riding area. Another purpose of this ad is to spread the message about the ASA's new DVD, titled "Take Time Out For Safety." The ASA is asking for your help by running this Public Service Ad in any upcoming issues of your publication where space permits, or on-line in your web-site news section.

ARIZONA ANNOUNCES NEW OHV AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
The Arizona OHV Ambassador program is a newly developed volunteer program that provides a means for private citizens to work with a variety of federal, state, and local land managers and public safety officials in Arizona to promote responsible off-highway vehicle (OHV) recreation on public, state, and private lands. These volunteers contribute their time, experience, and local knowledge of OHV areas in Arizona by monitoring public lands in groups of two or more on motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), utility vehicles (UTVs), or 4x4 vehicles.

SOUTHERN FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE ASSOCIATION COMMITTED TO PROTECTING UPPER TELLICO
In response to statements made against the U.S. Forest Service alleging violations of the Clean Water Act and other federal and state laws at the Upper Tellico Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) Area in the Tusquitee Ranger District in the Nantahala National Forest (NC), the SFWDA is showing that they have have a long history of providing extensive environmental stewardship in the area including restoration of trails and surrounding environment, installing silt screens and traps, building bridges to protect stream quality, and constructing trail head facilities such as parking lots, loading ramps, signs, bulletin boards, and restrooms.
