4-H ATV SAFETY PROGRAM HAS A LONG REACH IN THE AG WORLD
An all-new program features tons of safety info for rural families who work and play on 4-wheelers on a daily basis. The 4-H ATV Safety program helps young people, parents, caregivers and other community members come together to help ensure that every ATV ride is a safe ride. Parents and other adults have a lot of power when they work with young people to support their safe behaviors while riding ATVs.

MYERS RECEIVES ATVA MOST VALUABLE PERSON AWARD
Glenn Myers (right), treasurer and government officer of the Cheaha Trail Riders Club and the NOHVCC Alabama State Representative, recently received the highest honor bestowed by the All-Terrain Vehicle Association for his outstanding efforts and sacrifices in promoting ATV recreation for youth and adults.

NEW WEB "LINKS" FOR NATIONAL OHV ADVOCACY ORGANIZATIONS
ARRA, BRC, SVIA- what do all those letters mean and how exactly can those organizations help you become a better OHV advocate?  To find the answers, simply check out our newly revised NOHVCC OHV Resource Links Page which includes a detailed description of each organization as well as links to their home page (major land agencies are also listed). In fact, if your OHV club or association has a "links" page on their website, go ahead and make a link to our Resource page as well to get all these national organizations covered.

 

 

"PLANNING AND DESIGN OF OHV TRAILS" ONLINE COLLEGE  COURSE STARTS IN THE FALL AT MARSHALL U.
Students, professional land managers or anyone else is welcome to apply. The OHV Recreation series of courses are unique to this West Virginia University and were designed with guidance from the NOHVCC. Click to see course description and dates and information on how to enroll.

 

 

FOREST SERVICE'S RECREATION AND TRAILS PROGRAM ON TRACK TO GET MORE MONEY FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008
American's for Responsible Recreational Access (ARRA) report that further progress has been made in terms of getting more money appropriated for the Forest Service's Recreation and Trails programs. In fact, your representatives should still be hearing from you on this matter and by becoming a member of  the ARRA (which is free) you'll be notified how to make your voice heard quickly and easily on OHV land-use issues.

PENNSYLVANIA'S ROCK RUN RECREATION AREA CELEBRATES ITS GRAND OPENING
Covering more than 6,000 acres, the Rock Run Recreation Area provides a nearly endless network of trails for 4-wheelers and dirt bikes and are designed for riders of all levels. Originally coal company property, the park has an interesting history of how it came to be. Check out their home page.
