NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF OHV PROGRAM MANAGERS AND NOHVCC ANNUAL CONFERENCES WRAP UP IN WEST VIRGINIA
Nearly 200 land managers, agency personnel, and NOHVCC state representatives converge for a week of riding, training, networking,  planning, awards, and seminars. Bob Hammond, Ken Meyers, Brian Sears and Jack Terrell are inducted into the NOHVCC Hall of Fame.

LAST CHANCE TO MAKE NOMINATIONS FOR COALITION FOR RECREATIONAL TRAILS AWARDS
The deadline for nominations for the Coalition for Recreational Trails 2007 achievement awards is April 20. The awards recognize outstanding trail projects funded by the national Recreational Trails Program (RTP) and will be presented in Washington, D.C. during Great Outdoors Week 2007 (June 11-15).  Award categories will include: construction and design; maintenance and rehabilitation; education and communication initiatives; accessibility enhancement; multiple-use management or “corridor sharing”; environment/wildlife compatibility; and use of youth conservation/service corps.

NEW TRAIL SYSTEM OPENS AT HATFIELD/McCOY
The Hatfield-McCoy Regional Recreational Authority recently held a free-ride weekend to unveil their new Indian Ridge Trail System, which will start at the Ashland Trail Head and then wind throughout the hills of McDowell County in southern West Virginia.
